Relationship between Olamide and signee Lyta sours

YBNL boss Olamide has unfollowed Lyta on Instagram after reports the two had parted ways.

Rumours ran rife Olamide had sent Lyta out of the label but the label boss says the budding artiste rather opted to exit.

According to him, Lyta walked to him claiming someone had shown interest in signing him. Although he knew Lyta’s statement was untrue, he did not retort.

Olamide says he gave Lyta his blessings only for the youngster to bad-mouth him.

The YBNL owner further indicated that the decision by the label to push other artistes it had signed might have influenced Lyta’s decision to leave.

“If one keeps pushing just 1 artiste only, how would the label and every artiste sign under it grow?” he asked in an interview with NL.

In April this year, Davolee, one of the artistes signed onto YBNL left amidst speculations of a friction between him and Olamide.

The 23-year-old was said to be heading to ‘New Nation Muzik’, a recording and artiste management company which aims to produce/promote decent music.

It is not clear what the feud with Olamide was about but there were claims YBNL never offered Davolee a real contract. Not only that. Reports suggest he was unhappy about how things were handled.
